The Center for Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine offers the most comprehensive, specialized rehabilitation services available on the North Shore. Our fully certified and licensed specialists work with a variety of rehabilitative needs in both children and adults, including recovery from: sports injuries, stroke or other neurological event, spinal injuries and even broken bones.  We provide assistance with activities of daily living, as well as speech and swallowing disorders. We also offer hearing tests, hearing aids and other specialized audiology services.

 

Patients have access to the expertise of more than 60 highly trained and experienced professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers,  strength and conditioning specialists, and speech therapists and audiologists.

 

The physical therapy services and programs include: orthopedic and sports rehabilitation; Balance and Vestibular Program; custom foot orthotic fabrication; neurological rehabilitation, spine rehabilitation and the Women’s Health Program.

 

Some of the occupational therapy services include: custom upper-extremity splinting; ergonomic assessments; hand therapy; joint protection and arthritis care; low vision therapy and neurological rehabilitation.

 

The speech therapy services include: fluency disorders and speech and/or language delay; stroke; swallowing disorders; throat and neck cancer; traumatic brain injury and voice disorders. 

 

The audiology services include: acoustic immittance testing; hearing tests and hearing aid program; Electronystagmography (ENG) and Videonystagmography (VNG)tests; stoacoustic emission testing and occupational hearing screenings.
